While the IDP is not a blue print to redress the ills of the past within its 5year lifespan it is an integral part of long term planning exercise that has to be undertaken by various spheres of government in our country.

PUBLIC NOTICE

ADOPTION OF IDP-BUDGET 2009/10

Notice is hereby given in terms of section 25(4) of the Municipal Systems Act, 23 of 2000 and section 24 of Municipal Finance Management Act, 56 of 2003 that the revised IDP and budget 2009/10 financial year has been adopted by council on 31 May 2009.

In terms of section 75(3) of Municipal System Act ( act 32 of 2000) as amended, that council has resolved on 30 May 2009 on council resolution no M09/021 for the determination of the Property Rates Policy and draft rates by laws.

The tariffs in respect of supply of electricity, water supply, sanitation services, refuse removal, property rates and other fees and charges are included in the budget documents. The document is a available on the website ( www.eliasmotsoaledi.gov.za ) and Municipal offices and satellite offices. The tariffs are effective from 1st of July 2009.
